I recently met the Josue family. They were living in a new affordable housing apartment in Lahaina until it was burned down. Their unit was on the 5th floor, and after seeing the fire race down the hillside, they decided to flee immediately. They were lucky to get out alive. The family has moved to Oahu to stay with relatives, not wanting their children to see any more devastation or stay at a shelter. Thankfully, they have family support but like so many, still need to make ends meet. They are one of the many families you can help.
